ASOSAI WGEA Conducts an Online Thematic Training
SAI Maldives shared valuable insights into the climate adaptation audit methodologies, taking climate change and its impacts into account. Three representatives of SAI China introduced the Chinese approaches to biodiversity protection audits. The Yunnan Provincial Audit Office outlined a five-dimensional framework for biodiversity protection audits, showcasing the work on Asian elephant conservation and other flagship species initiatives. The Audit Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region presented five case studies, demonstrating invasive species prevention strategies within the context of local species protection efforts. The Shaanxi Provincial Audit Office contributed insights into the auditing work on ancient and heritage trees, examining these living monuments through historical, cultural, scientific, and ecological lenses.
Participants highly recognized this training for providing actionable insights and valuable benchmarks in both climate adaptation and biodiversity protection auditing practices.
