Representatives from CNAO participate in INTOSAI WGEA COP26 webinar
8 November, Representatives from CNAO participated in the INTOSAO WGEA COP26 webinar via video link. Echoing the concept of the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference, the webinar discussed the role of auditors in the global climate challenge. The meeting was hosted by the Secretariat of INTOSAI WGEA. Supreme Audit Institutions of several countries introduced their environmental audit work, shared the impact of climate change on their ecological environment, explained relevant measures to carry out climate finance audit, and summarized the experience and lessons learned from resources and environment audit.
In the panel discussion, CNAO representatives raised questions on the implementation of audit funds for climate finance and specific measures for carbon reduction, and had in-depth exchanges with representatives of relevant countries. At this webinar on climate change, representatives fully communicated with our international colleagues on the difficulties of environmental audit and shared audit experience.
