CNAO Attends the 20th INTOSAI WGEA Assembly

The 20th INTOSAI WGEA Assembly was held online between 19-21 January, 2021. The assembly this year focused on the theme of Rethinking for Circular Economy as well as the progress of the INTOSAI WGEA 2020-2022 Work Plan. Hosted by the SAI Finland as the INTOSAI WGEA Secretariat, the three-days agenda attracted nearly 300 representatives worldwide.

 

Ms. Qin Boyong, the Deputy Auditor General of the CNAO reported the working progress of the ASOSAI WGEA since August, 2019 to the participants through a recorded video, while a representative from CNAOs Department of Natural Resources, Ecology and Environment Audit shared an audit case regarding the agricultural circular economy.

 

The CNAO, as the co-leader of Sustainable Transport Project (Work Package 4), hosted the three-hour session on sustainable transport jointly with SAI Indonesia and SAI Thailand. Over the meeting, four representatives from the supreme audit institutions of Finland, Czech Republic, India and European Union, shared their visions and cases on this topic. Also, as the project member of Plastic Waste (Work Package 2) and Climate Finance (Work Package 3) , the CNAO also took an active part in the panel discussion of the above two projects.

 

This years Assembly set a special award for Best Visualization in the Environment Audit among the INTOSAI WGEA members, and SAI Indonesia, a member of ASOSAI WGEA, won this award.
